The Voice’s Dez Duron Prepares for Broadway Debut with Darren Criss in New Musical ‘Maybe Happy Ending’ | Broadway, Darren Criss, Dez Duron, Helen J Shen, Marcus Choi, Michael Arden | Just Jared: Celebrity News and Gossip

Dez Duron will be making his Broadway debut next month in a new musical alongside Darren Criss!

The 34-year-old singer was a fan-favorite on the third season of NBC’s The Voice and we’re excited to see him back on stage – this time on Broadway.

Dez joined Darren and co-stars Helen J. Shen and Marcus Choi for a photo call to promote the show on Monday (September 16) in New York City. They were joined by Tony-winning director Michael Arden.

Here’s the musical’s synopsis: “Inside a one-room apartment on the outskirts of Seoul, Oliver (Criss) lives a happily quiet life listening to jazz records and caring for his favorite plant. But what else is there to do when you’re a HelperBot 3, a robot that has long been retired and considered obsolete? When his fellow HelperBot neighbor Claire (Shen) asks to borrow his charger, what starts as an awkward encounter leads to a unique friendship, a surprising adventure, and maybe even…love?”

Dez said in a statement, “To make my Broadway debut in this incredibly beautiful show is beyond a dream come true! I can’t wait to help tell this story.”

Preview performances begin on Wednesday, October 16 ahead of an opening night on Tuesday, November 12 at The Belasco Theatre. Get you tickets now!
