Taylor Swift kicked off the European leg of her Eras Tour shows with her first performance in Paris today. Missing from the audience was Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, who wasn’t seen in Paris leading up to the concert either. However, there’s a good reason for his absence.
Kelce is currently shooting the Ryan Murphy horror series Grotesquerie on the West Coast. He was photographed on set in Pomona, California, yesterday with his hair dyed darker.
Details on his exact role and the premise of the series have not yet been revealed.
Swift was on Kelce’s mind today, though. The Kansas City tight end liked and commented on an Instagram that Swift’s lead guitarist Paul Sidoti shared before the show started. “@taylorswift The Eras Tour Europe starts tonight.. Paris you’re up first.. who’s coming? 😊🎸👍🏻 #theerastour #4inarow,” Sidoti wrote. Kelce commented, “Lfg!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 [let’s fucking go]”
Kelce spoke in early April about how he plans to join Swift in Europe for some of her shows. He told Entertainment Tonight, “She’ll be all over Europe. There won’t be a bad show, I promise you that.” Of his plans to join her, he added, “Oh, you know I gotta go support. You know it.”
Kelce gushed about Swift’s impact on him and his music taste in the same interview. “She’s so amazing at what she does,” he said. “And to find that creativity to see where she likes to pull things from and just, really, how she listens to music is very eye-opening for me. It’s been fun to hear her take on it.”
