Kim Kardashian To Produce & Star In Elizabeth Taylor Documentary

There really is just no stopping Kim Kardashian. After playing the role of ruthless businesswoman Siobhan in the 12th season of American Horror Story, the reality TV star turned business tycoon turned actress is soon to appear in a BBC-commissioned series about the career of the iconic Elizabeth Taylor.

According to Variety the Skims founder and law-student will also act as producer the new TV project, which will consist of just three episodes. According to the American media, the series will focus on the late 1950s, when the actress, who died in 2011, truly became a cinema icon. The synopsis claims the series will reveal how Elizabeth Taylor “reinvented the nature of celebrity, while breaking the glass ceiling in Hollywood, before becoming a billionaire businesswoman, activist and human rights advocate”.

According to the BBC release, the series will also include interviews with leading stars who knew Elizabeth Taylor personally, including Kim Kardashian herself, who actually – would you believe it – conducted the last interview with Elizabeth before her death. In that 2011 interview in Harper’s Bazaar, the two women discussed diamonds, weddings (Elizabeth had eight), playing Cleopatra and giving back to others. Elizabeth Taylor was herself, “a fighter,” said Kim Kardashian. “She’s proof that you can evolve, change and have different chapters in your life. “

Other celebrities who knew Hollywood’s rising star in the 1950s and who will also make an appearance on the show include Dame Joan Collins, Margaret O’Brien, Dr. Anthony Fauci, who worked alongside Elizabeth in the fight against AIDS. “Each brings a unique insight into a different aspect of Elizabeth Taylor’s story,” says the BBC.
