On Friday, Kourtney Kardashian got into the Halloween spirit by embodying one of her sister Kim Kardashian’s famous Met Gala looks. In a carousel of photos, she showed off a costume version of the eye-catching Givenchy floral gown that Kim wore to the fashion event in 2013, while she was pregnant with North West.
Kourtney is now as pregnant as her sister was then, and she filled out the stretchy jersey gown just like Kim. She also had her hair in the same low ponytail and wore the same bold magenta lip Kim did in 2013. On her feet were a pair of platform sandal heels in matching floral fabric. Kourtney captioned her post, “Freaky Friday.”
Her older sister shared the photos in her Instagram Stories, adding some clapping hands emojis. The pair have been more openly friendly on social media lately, following an explosive episode of their hit Hulu show The Kardashians. A feud seemed to have begun after Kim announced she was collaborating on a project with Dolce & Gabbana. The fashion brand was also central to the theme of Kourtney’s wedding to Travis Barker, and she apparently felt Kim was undermining her.
In a tense phone call aired during season four of the show, Kim tells Kourtney that she has a secret group chat that is used to discuss issues Kourtney’s friends have with her. Kourtney calls her a “witch,” and later shared screenshots on social media showing her own convos with friends who deny being a part of any kind of anti-Kourtney group chat with Kim.
It looks as though the two sisters have gotten a bit better about sharing fashion since the conversation was recorded. The original gown for the Met Gala was designed by Riccardo Tisci with the idea of alterations being easy to make as she got bigger during her pregnancy.
“We chose a really stretchy fabric because I would be growing and we wanted to make sure that alterations were easy and it was comfortable,” Kim told Vogue in 2019.
