Japanese Breakfast’s Michelle Zauner threw out the first pitch at Citi Field tonight, opening the Mets’ game against the Philadelphia Phillies. She wore a custom #69 jersey with “JBREKKIE” stitched on the back. Zauner tweeted that she wore Phillies socks with the ensemble, too. See her partake in the American pastime below.

Zauner took the field in Queens just a few days after she had been named to Time’s list of the 100 most influential people in the world. Bowen Yang wrote her profile for the magazine. The Time nod arrived the Monday after Japanese Breakfast had appeared on Saturday Night Live, where the band performed Jubilee’s “Be Sweet” and “Paprika” on the show’s Season 47 finale. Zauner also appeared in a sketch with departing cast members Aidy Bryant and Kate McKinnon.
