Run don’t walk: Kitri X Amuse La Bouche launches today.
The latest drop from cult-favourite fashion brand Kitri is something to get extremely giddy about this Spring. Kitri, famous for its puffy-sleeved dresses, large feminine collars and boldly coloured prints is finally launching its very first homeware collection.
The collection launches today, April 26, in collaboration with independent sustainable homeware label Amuse La Bouche. Together, the two eco-mindful brands have created a capsule collection of cushion covers, napkins, table runners and tea towels that all come in reversible designs offering diversity when it comes to your tablescaping ventures.
It’s giving maximalist meets the seventies with its bright retro stripes and swirls with delicate details in the form of Amuse la Bouche’s signature ruffle edge textiles. Kitri has become a cult-favourite brand since its launch in 2017, its appealingly affordable price tags play a huge part in that. The homeware products continue this legacy, all being priced from £20-£85, all being made from 100% linen. Continuing both brands’ sustainability commitment and mindful approach, each piece from the collection will be produced in small runs to avoid mass production. Round of applause for these brands, please.
“It’s a dream to launch our first-ever capsule homeware collection in collaboration with our friend Amuse La Bouche. Having spent so much time indoors over the last few years, we love the idea of a colourful, joyful and retro-inspired moment in the sun, whether that is in the garden or by the pool.” Haeni Kim, founder of Kitri.
Inspired by Slim Aaron’s photography from the seventies, featuring Summer scenes, pool parties, fashion, and interiors. This concept runs through Kitri’s entire Summer 2022 collection with the homeware capsule staying true to this aesthetic we’ve all come to know and love.
“ALB is so excited to be launching this limited-edition homeware collaboration with KITRI. As female-led businesses from the very start, we really felt our ethos aligned. We wanted to create a fun collection that sparks joy and lifts the spirits using only 100% linen to create high-quality products that can be kept for many years to come!” – Amuse La Bouche.
If you’re anti-minimalist and crave colour, flamboyant prints, textures and design, then this capsule is right up your alley. The standout green swirls and pink patterns complement each other nicely, making them the perfect dual purchase for maximalist and eclectic decor lovers. They can be used individually if you’re more of a tonal lover, style the pink cushions on a statement accent chair, adding a bit of spice to that reading corner.
The mixture of textiles is tablescape heaven and Kitri has timed this perfectly if you’re beginning to assemble plans for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Picnic, fancy dinner or casual BBQ, kit your celebration up with just one cushion or even the whole collection and you’re guaranteed to get royal nods from friends, family and bystanders.
