Mercenaries Mode, New Challenges Mode Arrive in ‘Resident Evil 4 VR’

A horror-themed cooking sim? Why didn’t anyone think of this before? That’s probably what developer Bad Vices Games was saying when they came up with Ravenous Devils, which will be releasing on April 29th on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 & 5, and Xbox One and Xbox Series.

Sweeney Todd inspirations abound, Ravenous Devils puts you in the creepy back-streets of 19th Century London, where married couple Percival and Hildred pursue their lofty ambitions of becoming the best tailor and eatery establishments in the city. You can guess what that involves.

The plan is simple: Percival does the slaughtering of shoppers looking for a new outfit, dropping the bodies through a hidden trapdoor, while Hildred makes the meat pies, sausages, and steaks to serve to customers. Demand from customers will have you upgrading your equipment, find new recipes and develop your shops.

Of course, there will be someone out there amongst the various characters you meet during the game’s four-hour story that will find out about your secret. But that’s all part of the fun!

“Ravenous Devils’ mixture of horror, cooking, simulation, and micro-management, intrigued us from the very beginning, and it gives us great pleasure to see the game being so close to hitting the virtual shelves.” said Saverio Caporusso, CEO and Game Designer at publisher Troglobytes Games. “For all gamers with a strong stomach for blood and gore, the incredibly fun gameplay loop and upgradables will definitely keep you hooked like it has us!”
