Another day, another TikTok beauty trend! This time, our favourite content creators have set themselves the challenge of creating the perfect passport photo makeup look – and we are talking full glam.
Gone are the days of lamenting your passport photo for the next ten years; this is about arming yourself with a flawless makeup look that even a photobooth camera can’t capture in its usual er, flatness. Supposedly.
There’s something pretty endearing about an awkward passport photo, as far as we’re concerned – but if your strategy is best self when it comes to taking your ID snaps, TikTok has it covered.
It’s all about symmetry, according to beauty creator Georgia Barratt, who even went to a Tesco passport booth to show off her new pictures – and the results speak for themselves.

For her look, she focused on brushed-up brows for a lifted look (“I want them to be as symmetrical as possible for the photo”), and plenty of precision contouring.
“For contour I went OTT trying to carve out my face,” she tells the camera, using a bronzer at her temples and cheekbones, sucking in her cheeks to sculpt and show the difference on both sides.
“This look is all about contour,” she says, before also adding bronzer to her chin and jaw to “point off” her face.

A ‘fox’ eyeliner look gives an elongated look to the eye, finishing with an over-lined lip with a nude gloss. Phew.
Other creators that have jumped on the trend include Char Barker – who opted for a slightly more natural look with glossy skin and fluffy lashes – and Bella Lovkist, who also went for a fox eye look.
Fellow TikToker Emira D’spain describes the perfect passport photo makeup as “full glam, but natural,” with pink glowing cheeks and a neutral lip. To get that winged-out look, she opts for a half lash instead of eyeliner. Genius.
As for whether full-glam passport photos are worth the hassle, the jury’s still out. “Okay this is STUNNING but I would show up for a trip at the airport with a bare face and sweats and they would think it’s someone else,” one follower commented on Georgia’s video.
Another mused that you can probably keep it simple for similar results. “The most important thing is nose contour and like just contour in general. Just full coverage satin finish foundation, contour and add some big lashes.” Thoughts?
