Mary J. Blige Says Fans Will Be “100% Fulfilled” by This Year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show

There is no doubt in Mary J. Blige‘s mind that fans are going to be majorly impressed by what’s about to take place at the Super Bowl halftime show this Sunday.

The singer told Entertainment Tonight to “Just be prepared to have a good time. The show is crazy. We are leaving everything on the stage.” She added that she recently got to watch Dr. Dre‘s rehearsal and, “I mean, I got goosebumps when I saw that set. I was like, ‘Oh this is…’ It’s amazing what’s gonna happen on Sunday.”

In terms of her own performance, she promised that viewers will be “100% fulfilled” by what they’re about to see. “I’m blessed, and it’s a lot of hard work and obedience and wanting the best for myself and believing in myself for real and doing the work that comes with that,” Blige said. “Because it’s not easy and this is what’s manifesting all these great things that are happening and loving on me, for me, makes everyone else love on you too.” And in terms of her outfit for the big day, she has just one word: “Wow. That’s all I’m gonna say, wow. I think you want to give them Mary on steroids, just, like, the most beautiful, glamorous, ghetto fabulous whatever! We’re gonna take it to a whole other level.”

And Blige isn’t the only halftime show performer who’s been blown away by what Dr. Dre is cooking up for their fans. Eminem recently said on Sway in the Morning that he’s been “blown away” by Dr. Dre’s vision for the show and Kendrick Lamar‘s “top tier” lyrics. “When the whole thing started going down and we were like, ‘OK, this might be actually serious.’ I was trying to envision what Dre. might do,” the rapper explained. “I was thinking like, yeah, that’s dope that all of us are gonna rap together, right, and that kind of thing, but I didn’t expect the production to be like this.”
