Becky G and Karol G Say Goodbye to Toxic Relationships in “Mamiii”

Becky G and Karol G are not messing around with their new song, “Mamiii.” The party was in full swing on Friday when the singers released the audio for their new pop-reggaeton collaboration, aka the diss anthem that will leave you saying “1-800-F*ck-You” about every bad Tinder date and infamous ex. To the tune of Mexican gritos and a smooth background beat, Becky G and Karol G call out the liars and toxic partners they’ve been with in the past, demanding that their exes apologize for treating them badly.

The kind of song you’d want to play on a girls’ night out, riding down the highway with the top down on the way to the club, “Mamiii” is packed with relatable lines that will make you feel like the badass lead in your own romantic drama. “No me vuelvas a llamar, que hasta boté el celular / De lo tóxico que eres, se volvió perjudicial,” Becky G sings, essentially telling her ex-lovers that she threw out her phone so they can’t call her anymore. In another line, Becky G even references famous Mexican singer Paquita La Del Barrio’s classic breakup song “Rata de Dos Patas,” calling her ex a rat with two legs. Paquita even thanked the singers for the shoutout in an Instagram post following the release.
