You’ll never catch me in a nude manicure because, to put it bluntly, I find them quite boring. Well, I did. Jennifer Lopez may well have just changed my mind with her latest manicure. The singer and actor, alongside nail artist Tom Bachik, consistently impress me with flashy nail colours like glittering royal blue, vibrant lilac, and shattered silver gems. This time around, however, the duo made a lasting impact with a sheer nude shade packed with some of the finest shimmers I’ve ever seen.
Bachik posted a photo of the manicure (which he did for Lopez’s recent appearance on The Voice) to his Instagram feed on December 15, at which point I thought the nail polish he used must be a custom combination of iridescent nude nail polish and some kind of shimmery nail powder. But, alas, Bachik used only one nail polish that he was kind enough to name-drop in his caption: Bio Seaweed Gel nail polish in the shade Ice, described by the brand as “multichromatic grey-silver shimmer.”

Sadly, unlike many of Bio Seaweed Gel’s other nail polishes, Ice is only available in a gel formulation, so if you prefer the old-school paint-and-dry polish format, this is not the polish for you. If you have a gel-curing lamp at home or don’t mind bringing the polish to your local nail salon, though, a Jennifer Lopez-approved manicure could be right at your fingertips.
