After all of the latest developments and restrictions around Covid-19 and plan B measures, we’re in need of a break. Anyone else? We’ve got our sights set on a wintry staycation in the UK, and what could be more relaxing than Christmas lodges to snuggle up in? Not much.
Christmas may be just a few weeks away, granted, but the festivities don’t have to end straight after December 25th. Think about it; when are you most in need of a holiday to cheer yourself up? January, right? If you’re set on staying home for when Santa Claus comes to visit, then consider seeing in the New Year in a warm Christmas lodge instead. If your plans involve escaping to the country for the big day itself, then you’ll want to start browsing what we’ve found below ASAP.
A festive mini break at a Christmas lodge means enjoying hearty dinners surrounded by your nearest and dearest and taking long strolls in your favourite walking boots and winter coats to breathe in some fresh air (and burn off the roasts).
While we can’t guarantee it’ll be quite as good as the house swap that occurs in The Holiday, and we definitely can’t provide a Jude Law, we can but try our best with the 11 Christmas lodges we’ve found below.
