On ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’ The Host Takes A Dig At Jeff Bezos And Talks About Cyber Monday

Tonight on the Late Show With Stephen Colbert, the host takes a dig at Jeff Bezos and Cyber Monday.

“Aka, buy Jeff Bezos as second penis rocket day!”

He mentions that even though people are excited to purchase gifts for the Christmas holiday, the American supply chain issue is still a hot mess. It’s being made worse by consumer hoarding and with customers buying two and three of everything to make up for delays and cancellations. Colbert makes light of a bad situation with some familiar words.

“Okay, that’s 16 maids-a-milking, 20 lords-a-leaping, and forget about 12 drummers drumming, just hire the Texas A&M marching band.”

Yahoo spoke to spending experts that state buyers are apprehensive about buying stating “They [customers] are eager to shop but anxious about the execution.” He follows this quote with an unexpected reference to old French royalty.

“Coincidentally, easy to shop and anxious about the execution–also the title to Marie Antoinette’s memoir. You don’t hear Marie Antionette jokes anymore!”
