Prepare yourselves – Lady Gaga is about to blow us away with her House of Gucci press tour wardrobe

Lady Gaga‘s fashion sense is embedded in her artistic identity.

In the early days, she stuck out from the streams of cutesy pop princesses with her tiny bodysuits, wild wigs, sunglasses and her penchant for platform heels. Beetle wings, halos, pyrotechnic bras: you’ll find this singer wearing it all. And who can forget that infamous meat dress moment?

Whilst it didn’t quite top the hysteria caused by that meat creation, the Schiaparelli gown she wore for President-Elect Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’ inauguration as they were sworn into office earlier this year was particularly epic.

The custom Schiaparelli Haute Couture look designed by Daniel Roseberry comprised of a navy, cashmere fitted jacket offset with a red silk skirt and gilded dove of peace brooch.

“As an American living in Paris, this ensemble is a love letter to the country I miss so dearly and to a performer whose artistry I have so long admired,” Roseberry, the Maison’s creative director, said of Gaga’s look in a statement.

This week, however, Gaga took to London as she made her much-anticipated appearance at the premiere of House of Gucci. Of course there were no prizes for guessing the designer of her epic red carpet dress, but the look certainly did not disappoint.

A violet, pleated number straight off the Gucci runway (the piece to be worn by anyone from this collection), the gown had a thigh high split which made way for a pair of fishnet stockings and her trademark platform boots.

Whilst we love just about everything she wears, there’s no denying that Gaga has taken her iconic and individual style down a notch in recent years, with demure dresses and Marilyn Monroe-style hair often taking precedence. But now and then we see her old style creeping in, and we get slightly giddy with nostalgia.

As we buckle up for what we expect will be a slew of epic red carpet moments on this press tour, take a look back at some of the icon’s most memorable looks…
