Live Review: 4 Time Juno Award Nominee Kreesha Turner Performs At the SohoJohnny Presents Let Me Help Inc 9/11 Fashion & Music Celebrity Benefit Concert @Rumi Event Space In NYC 9/11/21

Four-Time Juno Award Nominee Kreesha Turner blew away the crowd at the SohoJohnny Presents Let Me Help Inc. 9/11 Celebrity Benefit Concert held at the @Rumi Event Space in NYC on 9/11/21. Kreesha Turner marries pop, jazz and R&B to create an infectious sound that goes perfectly with her distinctive but smooth vocals. Imagine a mix of Jazmine Sullivan with Duffy/Amy Winehouse and you can get an idea of Kreesha’s sound.

Kreesha Turner started with Billie Holiday’s “Don’t Explain” and melded into  “Black Magic” an incredibly beautiful song from her debut album “Passion.” Her poise and beauty along with her sultry voice mesmerized the sold-out crowd, who were speechless at her stage presence and performance. She sang with such emotion, it was magical. This performance was the highlight of the evening with a show filled with incredible talent.

Other artists performing  included Joey Belladonna from Anthrax, Grammy Nominee Jon Butcher,  Kim Sledge from Sister Sledge, Leon from Leon and the Peoples, Felipe Rose from the Village People, Michelle Shocked, Sari Schorr, ARO Rose,  Billy Hess, Tym Moss, master pianist and composer Randy Edelman, Kulick, No Mansfield, DJ Charlie Z, Shitty Princess, Mickey Burns, Manny Cabo, Queeny King and many others. Also present was actor Mario Van Pebbles, author Howard Bloom, Wonderama’s Chuck Armstrong, Producer Carol Green from Redwood Entertainment and John Velasco from everywhere including Chippendale’s. Even producer SohoJohnny was on stage performing a duet with Kim Sledge and singing the Grande Finale “Don’t Stop Believing.”
