The “Street Sharks” Are Back With Three New Limited Edition Toys from Mattel

An animated series and toy line from the ’90s, the “Street Sharks” were half-man/half-shark monsters that fought crime, and all these years later they’re coming back to life here in 2021!

It was Mattel who released the original toys back in the ’90s, and it’s Mattel who is now making three brand new “Street Sharks” toys available to fans later this week, on August 27.

What makes these three toys extra special is that they’re actually new takes on three alternate character designs from back in the ’90s, all of them available at 9am PST on August 27.

Mattel explains, “Before they became our favorite animated man-sharks from the ’90s, the Street Sharks started as sketches. Some of the sketches eventually morphed into the toothy crime fighters we know and love, and some never saw the light of day. Until now.”

“Our designers dug through the archives to give three original concepts of Clambo, Karkass, and Ripster their time in the water. And the result is fin-tastic!”

The full lineup includes..

RIPSTER
Our lead shark, originally imagined as the lead jock and named “Ripley”, wears cleats, a helmet, and sunglasses. His weapon of choice? A football missile perfect for jawesome power passes.

KARKASS
Long before he became “piranhoid,” Karkass had evil in his gills. Featuring a piranha’s toothy grin and removable fish fists, this nemesis is casually dressed in sneakers and a track jacket.

CLAMBO
This half-man, half-mollusk is armed to the teeth and all villain. He features a camo shell, multiple blasters, and a biting sneer.

The figures will be selling for $75 each, and you’ll only be able to get them through Creations.Mattel.com. Again, they go up for grabs on Friday, August 27, 2021 at 9am PST!
