Since trends are cyclical – and the nineties was known for its next level blow dries – it makes sense that we’re returning to tried, tested and seriously foxy styling.
Even Kaia’s pal, Kendall Jenner has been channelling Cindy’s famous voluminous cut, The Crawford, for hair that’s a little more glam.

It’s not just her blow-dry though. Over on TikTok, creators have been bringing back her signature face-framing moneypiece highlights, which have been low-key taking off since before lockdown, with fans like Beyonce giving them a modern spin.
One user, @discoprincess420, posted a Cindy-inpsired hair transformation, writing “to say I’m OBSESSED is an understatement,” before bleaching her fringe herself (definitely not advised, but she does do a pretty cracking job), toning it with blue shampoo, cutting in a curtain fringe, blow drying, leaving in rollers, then revealing the finished look. Going by her comments (people are sold), the trend is going to keep getting bigger and bigger.
For a quick hair hack (we love them), another user @hairbyvanessaocando used a 1.5inch curling tong to add oomf, clipped the curls into spirals while they cooled down, then let them loose for whopper volume.
And @lalaluxesalon shared a gradiated way to incorporate moneypiece highlights seamlessly into darker hair for a modern glossy ’90s throwback.
