After a nearly four-run on The View, Meghan McCain is exiting her longstanding stint as co-host at the end of the daytime talker’s current season. McCain will be taking an extended hiatus that has the potential to become a permanent exit, according to a well-positioned network source.
McCain is expected to announce the move on today’s show.
McCain, the panel’s conservative talking head, is the show’s second longest running conservative co-host on the show, behind Elisabeth Hasslebeck, who appeared on The View from 2003-2013.
The show’s publicist declined to comment.
