The televised portion of the 48th annual Daytime Emmy Awards is under way with a ceremony hosted by The Talk‘s Sheryl Underwood airing live in the East on CBS and Paramount+. Deadline is updating the winners live as they are announced in the remaining categories.
The pre-show saw 19 awards presented, and 22 more are being doled out tonight. The West Coast show will kick off at 8 p.m. PT.
Netflix’s The Letter for the King and Julie and the Phantoms and ABC’s General Hospital lead with three wins each, followed by syndie talker The Real, and PBS’ Odd Squad with two apiece. On the network/platform side, Netflix so far has nearly doubled the its closest rival, scooping nine statuettes. Syndicated programs have five wins, ABC has three, and PBS is the only other with multiple trophies.
The Daytime Children’s Programming and Animation Emmy Awards will be presented in a stand-alone streaming show July 17, and the Daytime Lifestyle Programming Emmy Awards follow the next day. Noms for both will be revealed Monday.
