M&S just dropped its summer dress collection with Ghost and you’re going to want every single piece

With the partial easing of lockdown restrictions and the gentle flicker of a light at the end of a very long tunnel, we’re all relishing in the opportunity to do, well, anything other than sit on our sofa.

Whether you’ve been to get your root touch up at your favourite salon, to the pub for possibly the most satisfying sip of your chosen tipple or to your local restaurant for some (outdoor) fine dining – or, of course, merely sat on your sofa watching your super organised friends via Instagram who remembered to make reservations doing all the activities – chances are this week is giving you that feeling that good times are (finally!) coming.

But – and we’ve all had this panic at some point over recent weeks – what do we wear for such antics? The coffee-stained tracksuit bottoms we’ve been living in since New Year are frankly not fit for public consumption, and the mere thought of putting on a pair of jeans is enough to see us actually miss social isolation (*shudders*).

As if by magic – or, of course, sheer good planning brand-side – Marks & Spencer are this week launching their second collection with everyone’s favourite dress label, Ghost.

Shop M&S

Following the successful launch of their debut collaboration collection last year, M&S x Ghost is launching a 15-piece edit designed exclusively for the high street stalwart on Thursday, April 15th.

Unsurprisingly florals take centre stage, with everything oversized blooms to ditsy prints splashed across the collection’s most beautifully flattering, flowing silhouettes. The vibrant colour palette features a rainbow of shades from pinks and purples to greens and blues, with monochrome pieces punctuating the offering.

“These summer styles build on the success of the debut,” explained Maddy Evans, Head of Womenswear Buying at M&S, “with the addition of some beautiful new silhouettes, fabrics and playful print updates.”

“We know our customers will be excited to finally spend time with loved ones and celebrate the important milestones we’ve all missed during the past year; and our collaboration with GHOST offers an edit of unique and versatile styles that can be enjoyed throughout summer and beyond.”

“We are delighted to be collaborating on a second Ghost collection for M&S following the sell-out success of our first drop for AW20,” revealed Touker Suleyman, Owner of Ghost. “It’s an exciting time at M&S and we are proud to be part of the brands offering and presenting a new collection of exclusively-designed, versatile dresses for spring.”

The Marks & Spencer x Ghost collection will be available to shop in selected stores and online from April 15th.
