Pete Davidson Dating Mystery Deepens Thanks to a Pint-Size Gossip Savant

She’s a Page Six source for the ages.

Thanks to a curious British kid, the world has confirmation that Saturday Night Live’s Pete Davidson and Bridgerton’s Phoebe Dynevor have held hands at least once. Tilly Wagg, a 14-year-old with a good name, got a photo with Davidson when she spotted him in Caverswall, Staffordshire, which is a small village about equidistant from Manchester and Birmingham for all you geography-heads out there. Up until now, some tabloids were reporting the two were together, but the only hard evidence they had was that she was in New York briefly and he was in…Altrincham.

Now a teen has placed the two actors in the same small swath of earth at the same time, corroborating for some that they are at least talking to each other and breathing the same air. (Neither actor has commented on any of these rumors or on Wagg’s verbosity.)

Wagg, a regular Harriet the Spy, told Page Six that she saw them holding hands. “They walked past our house and I recognized him immediately,” she said. “I hadn’t seen anything written about Pete being in a relationship with Phoebe, but once I saw them together, I thought, Maybe they are?” She took a photo and the regional paper featured it.

It’s not always light and fun to talk about Davidson’s dating life, in part because he doesn’t seem to enjoy the Greek chorus of blogs blogging about it. He’s also commented candidly on his mental health as it relates to relationships, and his dating is intense, historically. And let’s not forget that relationship rumors surrounding him got strange and serious just over a week ago, in a bad way.

So I suppose one can simply focus on congratulating Wagg, number one gossip that side of the Atlantic, for landing the big scoop. Not only did she offer on-the-record confirmation, but every sentence flayed someone. Listen to these drags, as told to Page Six: “He was quite tall and wearing a good outfit, which isn’t normal around here, and his face is very recognizable.” Damn, hope everyone in the neighborhood is okay after that.

“I knew him from when he used to date Ariana Grande. I listen to her music sometimes,” she said. It’s not even about Davidson, really! Who taught Wagg how to do this?

“He seemed quite happy and didn’t mind me taking a picture with him. I didn’t ask for a picture with Phoebe because at the time I didn’t know who she was.” An incredible “I don’t know her” from the teen! It does make some sense that she wouldn’t be familiar with Dynevor’s oeuvre so far; Bridgerton is for horny 30-year-olds and is not available on TikTok yet. Still, Dynevor is from one of those famous British acting lineages! Great Britain is a small island! I thought everyone knew each other!

Dynevor is in the area because she’s filming The Colour Room, in which she’s playing famous ceramicist Clarice Cliff. From Bridgerton to throwing clay, somebody is certainly mainlining the zeitgeist these days, huh? Was she in Brooklyn recently for…research? (No, she was there filming scenes for Younger.) Davidson is in the area presumably to hang out and work on his English accent. Saturday Night Live is filming this week, so either the photo is old or it’s a quick jaunt or he’s not in this weekend’s episode. Maya Rudolph will have to manage without him.
