Rapper Mod Sun Got Avril Lavigne’s Name Tattooed on His Neck Following Dating Rumors

Since they released the song “Flames” together at the end of last month, rumors have been circulating that Mod Sun and Avril Lavigne are officially an item. And it seems the rapper may have just taken their relationship to the next level, making their connection neck tattoo official.

The rapper and the pop star were photographed leaving BOA Steakhouse in West Hollywood last Thursday when a TMZ producer spotted a new piece of body art across the back of Mod’s neck—the name “AVRIL” in black with a red anarchy symbol standing in for the “A.” Sources confirmed to the outlet that the tattoo is “pretty recent” and totally real as they said there’s no way the rapper would ever get a “temp tattoo.” However, those same “close to the situation” insiders declined to comment on the nature of the couple’s relationship, only confirming that they are definitely “enjoying each other’s company.”

Mod Sun previously dated Bella Thorne and YouTube star Tana Mongeau, while Lavigne was previously married to Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley in 2006 before divorcing three years later. She also dated Brody Jenner from 2010 to 2012, married Nickelback singer Chad Kroeger in 2013, divorcing in September 2018, and most recently dated billionaire Phillip Sarofim for one year before breaking up in November 2019. And it turns out the singer has also long been a fan of getting couple tats, even when the body art far outlives the relationship. Lavigne shares two matching tattoos with Whibley, four with Jenner, one with Kroeger, and debuted matching hearts with Sarofim just before their split. So if Mod Sun has a new piece of body art dedicated to her, it seems highly probable Lavigne has one in tribute to him as well.
