Watch Metallica Perform “Enter Sandman” on Colbert

Following the Weeknd’s Super Bowl spectacle, Metallica stopped by The Late Show With Stephen Colbert Sunday night (February 7) to play their 1991 classic “Enter Sandman.” The set featured an assortment of the band’s speaker cabinets from over the years in the background. Check it out below.

Last year, the band launched a vinyl subscription series and collaborated with the San Francisco Symphony to bring orchestral arrangements to their songs on S&M2. Last February, they were also honored with a namesake deep-sea creature, the worm-like Macrostylis metallicola. In January 2020, the band joined a number of artists who donated funds to support bushfire relief efforts in Australia.
