Jennifer Garner Is Reportedly “Supportive” of Ben Affleck “Moving On” After Ana de Armas Breakup

After almost a full year of daily Dunkin runs, friendship necklaces, and CDC regulation-defying kisses, Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas made the mutual decision to break up at the beginning of January. But the actor has apparently already managed to bounce back from the end of his relationship thanks to the help of his brother, friends, and ex-wife Jennifer Garner.

“Ben is happy, healthy, and doing great since his breakup with Ana,” a source confirmed to Entertainment Tonight. “Ben’s friends and Jen Garner are supportive of him moving on. Those close to Ben thought the relationship wasn’t working for either of them anymore.” As for what’s next, the actor isn’t rushing into anything just yet, and it seems there’s still a very good chance he and de Armas could get back together. The source added, “For now, he’s taking care of himself and focused on his kids. Ben and Ana still text regularly and communicate, so who knows what the future will hold for them.”

However, Ben’s brother Casey Affleck doesn’t seem to be holding out any hope for a reconciliation between the two Deep Water costars, recently sharing his own perspective on the breakup with the outlet. The actor told ET, “The reality is, I think that this year has been really hard on people in relationships. I wouldn’t know because I’ve been single, but I bet there are a lot of people that have, you know, it’s been challenging to relationships.” He added, “I think that Ana is just the sweetest, funniest, smartest, most charming person. I think she won’t have any problems meeting somebody else.”

But his praise of the actress didn’t end there, he then went on to say, “I think she’s a catch in every way. And I’ll be there to carry Ben through it, but I don’t think he’ll have any problems [either]. My advice to them would be like, ‘Yes, think long and hard about it because quarantine is not fun if you’re single.’”
