If Wes Anderson Made The Simpsons | Screen Rant

The classic animated sitcom The Simpsons has been re-imagined in the visual style of filmmaker Wes Anderson. Anderson is known for his whimsical films with a very distinct visual style. This style is so iconic that fans have been recreating it in many other mediums, from art to videos to Animal Crossing islands.

In a recent promotional project, the home improvement website HomeAdvisor created some beautifully decorated rooms inspired by locations from The Simpsons. Each room is in the style of a Wes Anderson set, incorporating pastel colors, ornate decoration, and of course, a one-point perspective. The redesigned rooms include the Simpson’s living room and kitchen, Lisa’s bedroom, Moe’s Tavern, Mr. Burn’s office, and even the nuclear power plant. You can see all of the gorgeous results below.

These real-world imaginings of The Simpsons sets look amazing, but they also offer a look at what a live-action adaptation of The Simpsons might look like. This is not an impossible idea, either. Disney recently acquired the show, and the House of Mouse has had a recent strategy of adapting its animated properties for live-action. While it’s unlikely The Simpsons will be adapted for live-action anytime soon, these Wes Anderson style sets could serve as potential inspiration.
