Lyliana Wray (Maximum Ride, The Night Shift) talked with Horrornews.net about her starring role in the legendary show, Are You Afraid of the Dark.
Lyliana- Hi Janel.
I’m great. How are you?
Lyliana- I’m great. How are you doing?
I’m doing great. Thank you. It was so great to see that Are You Afraid of the Dark is back. How did you get involved with Are You Afraid of The Dark and why did you decide to take on the role of Rachel?
Lyliana- I got the audition and read the script. I loved it. I was excited to see where the character Rachel went from episode one. So, I think that’s the biggest reason why I decided to take on the role.
The cast is awesome. All of you did such a great job. What was it like working with everyone?
Lyliana- Thank you. It was amazing. The whole experience, everybody is like family, we were best friends on and off set. We always had the best time.
Did you have to do anything special to prepare to play Rachel?
Lyliana- Nothing too special. I think the thing that really got me to understand her better was wardrobe. I was definitely there longer than anybody else. I was trying to figure out what her clothes were and trying to figure out the perfect look for Rachel. I think getting to see all those different outfits and getting to understand what works best and feeling comfortable in it really got me to understand the role and her personality.
What would you want to say to the fans who have been watching Are You Afraid of The Dark?
Lyliana- To the fans old and new, thank you for watching. I really hope they enjoy the show. Thank you for all the support. I’m so thankful.
Are you working on any other projects?
Lyliana- I’ve been auditioning a lot. The next project that will be coming up would be Top Gun: Maverick.
Thank you so much Lyliana. It was awesome talking to you. You guys did such a great job with Are You Afraid of the Dark.
Lyliana- Thank you so much.
