You’re going to see this affordable new label all over Instagram this autumn (and it’s super sustainable)

We’re trying our utmost break up with fast fashion but it’s no mean feat. As much as we want to champion sustainable brands, a lot of them aren’t exactly the most purse-friendly, which is why we’re pretty damn excited about the launch of Aligne.

Aligne aims to challenge the conception that sustainable products are more expensive than regular sourced products; think modern, fashion-focussed clothes with price points similar to the likes of Frankie Shop, & Other Stories and Arket.

Aligne has launced on Aligne.co with a sixty piece collection of trending prints, timeless dresses and clean-cut tailoring. The brand is really focussed on the quality and sustainability of each individual piece; think eco-friendly fabrics – like denim produced with 50% less water – soft 100% organic cotton, and recycled finishes.

In a time where we have little idea where our clothes come from or the conditions of the factories they’re made in, Aligne promises to be as transparent as possible. From sourcing and production to fair practices and working conditions in its factories, the retailer is encouraging us all to shop responsibly, which we are seriously here for.

Managing Director Dalbir Bains is the driving force behind the new label and has used her extensive experience in the industry to really shake things up behind the scenes. Formerly Product Vice President at Zalando and Chief Commercial Officer, New Business at H&M, Bains is using her vast network to introduce a cleaner, planet friendly approach to producing fashion. We like to see it.

The prices are completely reasonable, with a T-shirt costing £32 and outerwear setting you back £180. Plus, this stuff is made to last and you won’t need to worry about all your pals donning the same designs as you (sorry, Zara).
