Joe Alwyn’s Cat Photos Cause the Latest Taylor Swift Intrigue

While Taylor Swift’s boyfriend Joe Alwyn briefly appears in Miss Americana, the recent documentary about the singer and songwriter, on Wednesday night he took a more central role, seemingly outlining some details of her quarantine. Swift’s cats are well-known to her fans, and Alwyn posted photos of them on his Instagram Stories.

“Taylor Swift’s Boyfriend Joe Alwyn Posted Instagram Proof They’re Quarantining Together,” was the Elle headline. E! News: “Joe Alwyn’s Latest Post Proves He’s In Quarantine With Taylor Swift.”

Swift recently postponed her Lover Fest stadium tour, which would’ve capped the album cycle that began with the release of “ME!” just over a year ago, until 2021, on account of the coronavirus pandemic. She’s been in the news for an unauthorized live album that her former label—now owned by Scooter Braun after a much-dissected transaction from last summer—was able to release, and a relitigation of her Kanye West call from 2016. In the absence of those scheduled shows, we are left with new tweaks to old news, and Alwyn’s cat shots.
