Selena Gomez Liked Then Unliked Two Justin Bieber Photos on Instagram

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have both very much moved on since their March 2018 break-turned-breakup, but that doesn’t mean the Biebs has completely left Gomez’s mind. Selena Gomez fan account TheSelenaRundown noticed that Gomez liked—then unliked—two Justin Bieber photos today on Instagram, including one of them together in February 2018 when they went to his dad’s wedding in Jamaica. The photo was posted on a Jelena fan account.

Gomez swiftly unliked the first, a shirtless photo of Bieber’s chest. TheSelenaRundown took a screenshot, so the receipt remains, even though her like has since been removed:

This is what Bieber’s tattoos look like, for reference:

Gomez’s like remained on the shot of them together on vacation for a little longer. “She layed her hand on his neck…” it was captioned.

But by 8:45 P.M., it was gone:

Gomez liking two Bieber shots surprised some fans, who speculated that Gomez’s Instagram may have been hacked. Gomez has not made a statement about what happened, of course, but she has spoken about how proud she is of what she learned from dating Bieber and processing their relationship and breakup.

“I had something beautiful and I would never deny that it wasn’t that,” Gomez told NPR’s Lulu Garcia-Navarro in January. “It was very difficult and I’m happy it’s over. And I felt like this [“Lose You to Love Me”] was a great way to just say, you know, it’s done, and I understand that, and I respect that, and now here I am stepping into a whole other chapter.”

“Saying goodbye to Justin Bieber, who I’m assuming you’re speaking about,” Garcia-Navarro said.

“You had to get the name in, I get it,” Gomez conceded.

Garcia-Navarro asked if getting over Bieber and that relationship was one of the hardest parts of her life.

“No, because I’ve found the strength in it,” Gomez said. “It’s dangerous to stay in a victim mentality. And I’m not being disrespectful, I do feel I was a victim to certain abuse—”

“You mean emotional abuse?” Garcia-Navarro asked.

“Yes, and I think that it’s something that—I had to find a way to understand it as an adult. And I had to understand the choices I was making. As much as I definitely don’t want to spend the rest of my life talking about this, I am really proud that I can say I feel the strongest I’ve ever felt and I’ve found a way to just walk through it with as much grace as possible.”
