The actress known for prominent roles in Ray Donovan,  Batman Begins, and Dawson’s Creek leads the cast of Brahms: The Boy II (which opens Feb. 21) and in the just-released new trailer it’s clear that diabolical dangers remain hidden in the walls of the old Heeshire homestead.

The thriller from STXfilms Lakeshore Entertainment is a stand-alone sequel to The Boy (2016), which grossed $74 million worldwide (against a $10 million production budget) and starred Lauren Cohan (The Walking Dead) and Rupert Evans. (The Man in the High Castle).

For Brahms: The Boy II, William Brent Bell returns as director and again worked from a script by Stacey Menear. Holmes, as Liza, leads the sequel’s cast, which also features Christopher Convery (Gotham) as Jude, Owain Yeoman (The Belko Experience) as Sean, Ralph Ineson (The Witch) as Joseph, Anjali Jay (Supergirl) as Dr. Lawrence, and Joely Collins (daughter of music star Phil Collins) as Pamela.

The sequel’s synopsis: “Unaware of the terrifying history of Heelshire Mansion, a young family moves into a guest house on the estate where their young son soon makes an unsettling new friend, an eerily life-like doll he calls Brahms.

The producers are Lakeshore’s Tom Rosenberg, Eric Reid, Gary Lucchesi, and Richard Wright in addition to Matt Berenson, Jim Wedaa and Roy Lee.
