Drake, A$AP Rocky, and all members of Rihanna’s boyfriend hopefuls club can take a step back. E! reports that the singer is not dating anyone right now; in fact, she doesn’t want to after being in a serious relationship—with billionaire Saudi businessman Hassan Jameel—for three years. Understandable. People are exhausting!
A source explained to the outlet that The Sun‘s report that Rihanna is dating A$AP Rocky is false. The Sun‘s “Rihanna source” claimed that Rihanna and A$AP Rocky had something romantic happening, but Rihanna was wary of DTRing. “Rihanna is reluctant to put a label on it as it’s so soon after Hassan,” The Sun‘s source said. “They’re really enjoying each other’s company and taking things easy as it’s still early days.”
But E!’s made her relationship status crystal clear: There is no man. “Rihanna is single,” the source said. “She just got out of a long intense relationship with Hassan. She wants to be single and isn’t going to jump into something. She’s hanging out with A$AP Rocky, but she is not dating him.”
The two do have a past, the source said, but she isn’t down for anything but a good time. “They have a long history, and she’s just having fun.”
It’s unclear when Rihanna split with Jameel, but reports of the breakup came out on January 17. Rihanna was seen at the Yams Day concert in New York City with both her ex-turned-friend Drake and A$AP Rocky days after the split news broke.
