In fact, red carpet season often lays the groundwork for the beauty trends that will dominate the year ahead, from show-stopping hairstyles to major makeup moments.
Last year was awash with blue, from Lady Gaga (and her epic pastel blue hair) to Lupita Nyong’o and her electric eyeshadow, as well as a throng of sleek middle partings, top knots and pillar box-red lips.
