2019 might have been the year of major political angst and the climate change crisis, but let’s not forget it also brought us Wagatha Christie, Fleabag’s Hot Priest and Fyre Festival’s Andy King.
As the year draws to a close and we prepare to enter a new decade, we’ve reflected on all the iconic moments that shaped every meme and headline, every dinner party conversation and office chinwag. From the makeups and breakups, to rise and falls (quite literally – Gemma Collins on Dancing on Ice, anyone?) of our favourite celebrities, 2019 has served up the entertainment in spades.

When Coleen Rooney became a modern day Poirot and outed fellow WAG Rebecca Vardy for leaking fake news to the press. The best part? The onslaught of memes that had the nation howling for weeks.

When Andy King, the producer behind Fyre Festival, unintentionally became a viral meme. The poor guy went viral after revealing how far he was willing to go to make the doomed festival a success.
The Jordyn Woods/ Tristan Thompson saga
When Kylie Jenner and Khloe Kardashian’s best friend Jordyn Woods served the ultimate act of betrayal when she hooked up with Khloe’s husband. Her Red Table Talk with Jada Pinkett Smith had the entire office gathered round a computer screen.
Fleabag’s Hot Priest
The final episode of Fleabag aired on the 7th of April and collectively our hearts broke (PLEASE bring it back, Phoebe). Arguably our biggest crush of 2019 was Andrew Scott playing the ‘Hot Priest’ – there’s no one more unavailable than a man of God, and it turned us all absolutely bonkers.
