Kody Brown and Meri Brown have not been getting along for quite some time now.
This is not exactly breaking news.
But TLC has posted footage from the upcoming new season of Sister Wives in which it’s more clear than ever before that the future isn’t very bright for this spiritual husband and wife.
It’s downright dark, in fact.
Where did things go wrong? What can we expect between Kody and Brown on episodes that air in 2020?

A Challenging Past
Meri and Kody have been “married” for 28 years, but we need to put quotation marks around that term. Why? Because they got legally divorced back in 2014 so that Kody could marry Robyn and adopt her kids.

We know, right? One can’t really blame Meri for being bitter over how things played out between her and Kody, which helps explain how their relationship has been falling apart ever since.

She has a beloved daughter named Mariah, but suffered a miscarriage years ago and was told around that time that she’s unable to have any more children.

In theory, yes. But “he doesn’t want to move forward with trying to work things out with me,” Meri tells the therapist in a scene from an upcoming episode.
