Video games are some of the best places to enjoy horror content. From the Resident Evil games, the number of which is insurmountable to try and count, to older cult classics like Manhunt or Outlast, you can do things in the world of the video game that you can’t when it comes to a film.
That’s the case with the new Blair Witch game that has been making the rounds on the PC and the Xbox One.
The game takes place in 1996 which is 3 years before the events of the 1999 film. A young boy vanished into the Black Hills Forest near Burkittsville, Maryland and you, as the character Ellis, a former cop with a checkered past joins the search. What starts out as a regular search quickly turns wrong when you are forced to confront your fears and the Blair Witch.
The game is headed to Playstation 4 on December 4th and comes with the “Good Boy Pack” which is presumably involving Bullet, the dog that follows you around during the course of the game.
