Maddie Brown is Praying She Can Survive Her Two-Year Old

Maddie Brown loves her son, okay?

Really. The occasional Sister Wives cast member is very fond of her two-year old Axel.

We just wanted to get that out of the way up front, before any readers scrolled through the following content and started to think differently.

Maddie, who gave birth to her second child in September, opened about her recent parenting experiences on Instagram this week.

And while many mothers in her position may have focused on the new additons to their families, Maddie instead took a few moments to crack us up over life with Axel instead.

Along with a precious snapshot of the toddler fast asleep (below), Maddie wrote the following:

“Some days I stare at him sleeping and promise to be more patient, more understanding, more compassionate, more laid back and I promise to not lose my temper as much, to try and understand his point of view.”

We’re guessing millions of parents around the globe can relate to Maddie’s above statement and vow.

We all try so hard to treasure of every second we have with our kids, don’t we?

But, as Brown goes on to note, it’s not always easy.

In fact, it can sometimes be extremely challenging.

“Then he wakes up and my promises do well,” continued Maddie, adding:

“They usually lasts about 2.5 seconds into climbing onto the entertainment center and smacking the TV. But for now, I’ll stare at my sleeping boy and wonder at his curious mind and pray I survive him.”

Brown may not have been trying to make a joke here; she was probably dead serious.

But her tone and word choice made us laugh nonetheless… largely because most of us have totally been there with our children, you know?

Brown then added a number of hashtags to the post:

#thisismotherhood #mommylove #momlife #babyboy #terribletwos #letusallpraywebothmakeitthroughthisyear #mytvhashandprintsonit #AxelJames #reallife #hisfavoritecolorisblueifyoucanttell

They do refer to this age as Terrible Twos for a reason.

Maddie si so not alone in thinking this way.

The TLC personality also earned our sympathy in late October when she revealed that her baby daughter has been diagnosed with a serious medical condition.

Referring to her husband and their second child, Evie, Maddie opened by saying the following:

“This is one of the hardest things that Caleb and I have gone through and the decision to share almost as difficult, but after a lot of consideration, we realized that it’s the best thing for our daughter and there is a chance it may help other parents who may also be struggling.

“Our beautiful baby daughter Evie has been diagnosed with FATCO syndrome (basically the abbreviation for lots of intense Latin words).”

What does this mean, exactly?

“It’s a rare medical syndrome where bones in extremities do not fully develop,” Maddie explained.

The affliction only affects about five babies in a million, that’s how rare it is.

Upon Evie’s birth, Maddie wrote, ”she was missing three fingers, a toe and her fibula. She also had a bowed tibia, a shortened forearm and some fusing in her fingers.”

Thankfully, “she is healthy in every other way aside from the missing bones,” Maddie wrote at the time, adding on an uplifting note:

“We want Evie to always feel pride in who she is, and all that God gave her!”

Sister Wives returns Sunday, January 5 2020, at 10/9c on TLC.
