Gracee Shriver brought her best Kacey Musgraves cover to her Voice audition, and it paid off! On Monday night’s episode, the 16-year-old from Oklahoma belted out “Rainbow” with so much power that judges Kelly Clarkson and Gwen Stefani couldn’t keep from fighting over her.
“Gracee, I think that you’re super talented,” Clarkson said, after hearing the teen’s impressive performance. “You have a certain style that is so distinct.”
Despite Shriver’s natural inclination toward country music, Stefani also tried to woo her with their shared Oklahoma connection and she even got boyfriend Blake Shelton to vouch for her. In fact, things got so heated that Clarkson had to play her ultimate card: “I’m not dating Blake, but my husband manages him!”
