Bush are the latest music act to make an appearance on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series. You can watch the full performance below.
The group, led by frontman Gavin Rossdale, along with guitarist Chris Traynor, bassist Corey Britz, drummer Nik Hughes, and keyboardist Joshy Soul, performed a set of four of their songs.
Two of the songs, “Machinehead” and “Glycerine,” are two of the band’s biggest hits from their debut album Sixteen Stone, while “Out of This World” comes from their 2001 album Golden State, with the set closed out by the title track of their most recent album, 2025’s I Beat Loneliness.
The arrangement of the songs replaces the driving post-grunge sound the band is known for with a reverb and noise-drenched atmospheric approach. This recontextualization makes the music feel intimate and spacious, showcasing the solidity of the songwriting bones beneath these songs.

Most striking however is the a capella stretch in the middle of “Glycerine,” rendering the already tender ballad that much more spare, vulnerable and open.
