Post Malone Says a New Country Album is Coming Soon

It’s been nearly a year since Post Malone released his sixth album, F-1 Trillion, marking his first official foray into country music. Now, in a new interview, Posty revealed he has no plans to step away from the genre — and that another country album is coming “very, very soon.”

Malone revealed that he has recorded about “35 songs” for his next album in Nashville. “I’m pretty excited for the new record already… I usually hate listening to my music, but listening to the band play, I get so excited,” he told Billboard ahead of his headlining set at Coachella weekend one.

“We just slowed everything down [on Twelve Carat Toothache and Austin] and that’s kind of what I was going through at that point. And [F-1] was just f—ing bitching,” he continued, painting a mini-retrospective of his past discography. “I said in an interview a while ago, ‘When I’m 30 years old, I’m gonna make a country record.’ And I made it at 29… I think finally bringing the fun back into what I was doing really showed on the record. And I think a lot of folks had fun listening to it. And we’re going to attempt to do it again. I’m excited to keep going.”
