Dave Grohl to Play SNL’s 50th Anniversary Concert

Dave Grohl has a storied history with Saturday Night Live, having played a record 15 times as musical guest. Thus, it’s only fitting that he’ll take part in the upcoming SNL50 concert, scheduled for Friday, February 14th, at Radio City Music Hall.

The Foo Fighters frontman was not part of the initial concert lineup announcement last week. However, a new promo for the show revealed Grohl’s addition; Consequence independently confirmed the news as well.

Grohl joins a star-studded lineup that includes Lady Gaga, Jack White, Eddie Vedder, Miley Cyrus, Bad Bunny, David Byrne, DEVO, Post Malone, The B-52s, Brandie Carlile, Chris Martin, Brittany Howard, Robyn, and more. Executive produced by SNL creator Lorne Michaels and Mark Ronson and hosted by Jimmy Fallon, the  three-hour concert will air on Peacock on February 14th beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET / 5:00 p.m. PT. Additionally, it will screen in select IMAX and Regal theaters across the US.

Last week, Grohl participated in an impromptu Nirvana reunion at the FireAid benefit concert in Los Angeles.
