Heretic Parfum’s ‘Nosferatu’ Candle Is Inspired by Count Orlok’s Coffin

Last fall, Heretic Parfum partnered with Focus Features for a Nosferatu perfume that quickly sold out, yielding a waitlist in excess of 30,000 people.

Not only is Nosferatu Eau de Macabre back in stock, but Heretic has also announced a candle inspired by the Robert Eggers film.

Available February 1 for $175, the limited edition Nosferatu candle arrives in a vessel of ox-blood glass based on Count Orlok’s coffin.

The 6 ounces of perfumed wax evokes the uneasy chill of encountering an apparition with a fragrance described as cold, pale, and pellucid.

The Eau de Macabre opens with top notes of lilac and ambrette seed that fall into a heart chord of violet, orris root, and petrichor. The mysterious dry-down is woven around vegan ambergris and Oud absolute.

A reimagining of the 1922 silent horror classic, Nosferatu available on Digital now and hits 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on February 18.

Bill Skarsgård stars as Count Orlock with Nicholas Hoult, Lily-Rose Depp, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin, and Willem Dafoe.
