How do the “Friends” of the Real Housewives actually get chosen? Kyle Richards, longtime cast member on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, is explaining the process.
“When it comes to bringing on a ‘friend’ of the Housewives, how does that process work? Do you each get to nominate people?,” THR asked Kyle.

She explained, “They will come to us and say, ‘We’re going to add somebody,’ or, ‘We’re changing someone out, who can you recommend?’ And by the way, nobody recommends anyone! Because they don’t want to ruin friendships. If I’m going to recommend someone I know, they would be a little removed from my life. It’s very hard to navigate your relationships in reality television, to say the very, very least,” she shared.
