Earlier this week, Justin Baldoni filed a $250 million lawsuit against the New York Times for their reporting on Blake Lively‘s claims against him.

In his lawsuit, he made a major claim against Blake‘s husband, Ryan Reynolds.

If you don’t know the backstory, Justin directed and co-starred in It Ends with Us opposite Blake Lively and there were rumors of feuding on set. Months later, Blake released texts and allegations against Justin. She also filed her own lawsuit.

Justin‘s suit claims that, at the Deadpool & Wolverine premiere in July of 2024, before he employed crisis PR, Ryan allegedly pressured Justin‘s agent with WME to drop him as a client. In December of 2024, they did drop him. Now, WME is clarifying.

In a statement to THR, WME shared that his agent wasn’t even at the premiere. They also said that there was no pressure from Blake or Ryan at any time.

The statement read: “In Baldoni’s filing there is a claim that Reynolds pressured Baldoni’s agent at the Deadpool & Wolverine premiere. This is not true. Baldoni’s former representative was not at the Deadpool & Wolverine premiere nor was there any pressure from Reynolds or Lively at any time to drop Baldoni as a client.”
