RHOSLC’s Bronwyn Newport “Rushed To Hospital Horrifying Dog Attack”

One of the stars of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City has shared the injuries she sustained in a brutal dog attack during a walk in a park.

Bronwyn Newport, who joined the Bravo show’s cast this season, appeared in this week’s episode, revealing the scars from her injuries which saw her hospitalized after the dog made “37 separate bites” on her arms and legs.

Newport told People Magazine that she was at a local park with one of her own dogs when another dog, unaccompanied, approached her. Sensing no aggression, she reached out to pat it, whereupon the dog circled and lunged at her from behind. Newport recalled that she panicked and screamed.

“I totally lost my mind, and I honestly think I made it worse,” she told People.

The magazine reports that the dog continued to bite until a bystander intervened. The reality TV was taken to hospital where she learned one of the bites had fractured her bicep.

Newport later discovered the dog was a foster dog, whose caretaker was out of sight at the time of the attack. She did not press charges.

She is one of the latest recruits to RHOSLC, which is the tenth installment of the Real Housewives franchise, and has been aired on Bravo since November 2020. The show is currently in its fifth season.

It previously weathered scandal when one of its early stars Jen Shah was arrested in 2021 for wire fraud and money laundering, with a telemarketing scheme targeting elderly and vulnerable people. She pleaded guilty to conspiracy in 2022 and early the next year was sentenced to 6.5 years in jail.
