Volume 3, Release Set For 2025

Disney and Lucasfilm have revealed that Star Wars Visions: Volume 3 will premiere on Disney+ in 2025.

The third instalment will feature nine short films from eight different Japanese anime studios, Disney and Lucasfilm announced today at the Disney APAC showcase held in Singapore.

The nine anime studios are David Production, Kamikaze Douga, ANIMA, Kinema citrus Co., Polygon Pictures, Production I.G, Project Studio Q, TRIGGER and WIT Studio.

“The award-winning anthology of animated short films celebrates the mythology of Star Wars through unique cultural lenses,” said Disney and Lucasfilm in a statement.

Highlighting the eight different anime studios involved in Star Wars Visions: Volume 3, Disney and Lucasfilm added that this demonstrates the “diversity and creativity of Japanese animation.”

Previous instalments of Star Wars Visions were released in September 2021 and May 2023.
