Behind The 5th Ave Snowflake – Trailblazers George and Christine Stonbely

The 5th Avenue Snowflake, shining at the intersection of 5th Avenue and 57th Street in New York City, brings warmth and joy to the holiday season as we celebrate the 200th anniversary of Fifth Avenue. At the heart of this wonder are the inspiring George and Christine Stonbely. Together with Quinn Lemley, they share their vision during the Snowflake Lighting Ceremony and the Snowflake Ball at The Pierre Hotel, honoring Chef Daniel Boulud for his incredible work with City Meals on Wheels. George and Christine have been pivotal in shaping culture in Times Square and at The Metropolitan Opera. George’s groundbreaking introduction of the Spectacolor signs revolutionized outdoor advertising, creating the first lighted billboards that continue to capture the imagination of many.
