‘Never Let Go’ – Watch a Deleted Scene Featuring a Tree Monster You Didn’t See in the Movie!

The new film from director Alexandre Aja (High Tension, The Hills Have Eyes, Piranha 3D, Crawl), Never Let Go is now available at home on Premium Video on Demand and Premium Electronic Sell-Through from Lionsgate. In celebration of the release, Lionsgate has provided us with an exclusive Deleted Scene from the film featuring star Halle Berry.

In the new psychological thriller/horror movie from Aja, as an evil takes over the world beyond their front doorstep, the only protection for a mother and her twin sons is their house and their family’s protective bond. Needing to stay connected at all times – even tethering themselves with ropes – they cling to one another, urging each other to never let go.

But when one of the boys’ questions if the evil is real, the ties that bind them together are severed, triggering a terrifying fight for survival.

In this Deleted Scene from Never Let Go, Academy Award winner Halle Berry comes face-to-face with a nightmarish, snake-headed tree monster that ended up on the cutting room floor.

Please note that this particular Deleted Scene features unfinished VFX, so this is just a rough example of what the planned monster would have ended up looking like on the big screen.

Alas, the monster never ended up making it into the film…

Percy Daggs IV (The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey) and Anthony B. Jenkins (Florida Man) star alongside Halle Berry in Never Let Go. You’ll also find the film’s trailer down below.

Alexandre Aja directed from a script by Kevin Coughlin & Ryan Grassby. The film was produced by 21 Laps’ Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen and Dan Levine (“Stranger Things”).

Lionsgate presents, in association with Media Capital Technologies, a 21 Laps production.
