Iconic Parisian label Mugler celebrates its 50th anniversary with a documentary, Inside the Dream: Mugler, directed by Matthieu Menu. The doc offers a glimpse behind the scenes revealing key moments leading up to the milestone, highlighting the evolution of the fashion house under the new creative direction of Casey Cadwallader.
The 60-minute film is a celebration of a visionary heritage, exploring half a century of firsts — from Manfred Thierry Mugler’s revolutionary impact on fashion and discovering the “gourmand” olfactive family with the Angel fragrance, to Cadwallader’s spectacular fashion presentations and cutting-edge innovations.
Since 1974, Mugler has become synonymous with fashion and fragrance, redefining the art of fashion as a trailblazing designer beloved by boundary-pushing performers such as Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and Dua Lipa for decades. The peek behind the curtain also reveals the making of Zendaya’s show-stopping appearance in the chrome robot Maschinenmensch from the Fall/Winter 1995-1996 “Cirque d’hiver” collection for the premiere of Dune: Part Two, capturing the electrifying essence of Mugler’s impact on the world’s red carpets.
Inside the Dream: Mugler will be available to watch exclusively on Canal+ in France beginning September 25 and soon worldwide on selected platforms including Prime Video.
