Britney Spears Continues to Pay Kevin Federline Child Support After Jayden James Turns 18 – Here’s Why | Britney Spears, Jayden James Federline, Kevin Federline, Sean Preston Federline | Just Jared: Celebrity News and Gossip


Britney Spears‘ youngest son Jayden James turned 18 this week. However, she continues to owe ex-husband Kevin Federline child support.

The 42-year-old Princess of Pop shares Jayden and her older son Sean Preston with Kevin, who she divorced in 2007.

Both of their children are now over the age of 18. However, Kevin‘s lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan explained why the child support will continue and for how long.

“Under California law, child support jurisdiction continues until the minor child reaches the age of 18, or if upon their 18th birthday they have not yet graduated high school, it continues until they graduate high school, but in no event later than their 19th birthday,” he told People. “The child support in this case for Jayden is being paid consistent with that law. His graduation for high school will be in November.”

A source close to Britney said that she would happily continue paying for the care of her children.

Britney has plans for the boys’ future and will do whatever she can and will always continue to love and support them,” they explained.
