Elton John Says He ‘Can’t’ See Audience at TIFF 2024 Premiere of ‘Never Too Late’ Doc Due to Eye Injury | 2024 toronto film festival, David Furnish, Elton John | Just Jared: Celebrity News and Gossip


Elton John is back on the red carpet as he continues to recover from a “severe eye infection.”

The 77-year-old music legend stepped out for the premiere of his new New Too Late documentary held during the 2024 Toronto Film Festival on Friday night (September 8) held at the Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto, Canada.

Joining Elton at the premiere was husband David Furnish and RJ Cutler, who co-directed to doc with David.

After the screening, the trio discussed the making of the doc where Elton admitted that he couldn’t see then audience in attendance due to the eye injury.

Keep reading to find out more…“The love I have for this family, my family, my children, and my friends, has never been better,” an emotional Elton said, according to EW. “I’m 77 years old, and I’m having the best time of my life, except for this f–king eye. I wish I could see you, but I can’t.”

Earlier in the week, Elton revealed that he has been dealing with a “severe eye infection” all summer that has left him with limited vision in one eye.
